Antwerp has been known as the beating heart of the fashion world in Europe for decades. The city is a cradle of creativity and breathes fashion, so to speak. In August 1994, entrepreneur Xavier Painblanc saw the opportunity to take over the renowned Oxford store. He built the Oxford store into a fashion group with several, exclusive stores and brands in both Antwerp and fashionable Knokke. To this day, Oxford is a name like a bell in the fashion industry and customers come to the stores from all over Belgium (and abroad).
